Happy February from all of us at Indianapolis Music Academy! The shortest month packs in a lot of love, creativity, and rhythm—perfect for making music memories. Whether you're bundling up for lessons or dreaming of spring recitals, we're thrilled to share some exciting updates, fun contests, and ways to keep the music going strong.
Valentine's Day Coloring Contest – Deadline Approaching! 💖 Spread the love through art and music! Our Valentine's Day Coloring Contest is in full swing, but time is running out—entries are due soon!
Pick up your free coloring sheet at the front desk during your next lesson (or stop by anytime we're open). Kids 17 and under can color a Valentine scene, then return it to us. Winners will be announced soon after Valentine's Day. The prizes in 3 age categories are Amazon Gift Cards.
Don't miss out—get those entries in before it's too late! Let's see your colorful creativity.
Upcoming Spring Recital Dates Mark your calendars! Our Spring Recital is a highlight of the year, where students showcase their progress and hard work.
Tuesday, May 12, 2026, 4pm to 8pm
Saturday, May 16, 2026, 2pm to 7pm
Sign-ups are open now—stop by the front desk to reserve your spot and get performance details. Spots fill up, so don't wait! We're excited to celebrate everyone's growth. Plus, we are waiving the $15 recital fee this year for the spring recital.
Refer a Friend – Share the Music Magic! Love your lessons? Tell a friend! Our Refer a Friend program is simple and rewarding:
Refer a new student for private lessons, and both you and your friend get a tuition credit ($30 off your next month of lessons, ask at the desk for current details).
It's a great way to grow our musical community and save on your own lessons.
Just mention your referral when your friend signs up, or grab a referral sheet at the front desk. Thank you for helping spread the joy of music!
February Fun: Love Songs & Heartfelt Tunes February is the month of love—and what better way to celebrate than with music? Ask your teacher about incorporating romantic classics like "My Funny Valentine," "Can't Help Falling in Love," There's thousands of great love songs out there!
It's a fun seasonal twist that keeps practice exciting. Pro tip: Dedicate a short piece to someone special this month—it makes practicing feel even more meaningful!
